CAR2GO: HOP IN AND DRIVE
Integrated Campaign

When Bakery became car2go's agency of record, we were tasked to promote their new line of Mercedes Benz cars through a variety of platforms, including web ads, social ads, out-of-home and promotional events. As a production designer for the campaign I was in charge of creating a majority of the assets.

Using the photography Bakery captured for car2go's SMART and Mercedes cars, the team and I designed a variety of digital ads: web banners, full screen ads, radio ads, and more.

OUT OF HOME

EXPERIENTIAL: HOP IN AND DINE

Hop in and Dine was an experiential execution that we put together for car2go in a few select cities. We got together with local food trucks and encouraged new users to sign up with free food as their motivator. The design is inspired by the elegance and class of Mercedes Benz’s look and feel.

EXPERIENTIAL: ENTER EPIC

We created an exciting experience for car2go called Enter Epic, where we brought Vancouver's popular adventure destinations into downtown. We dressed up a wall to look like the Capilano Suspension Bridge and parked a car2go in front of it. I helped to create the vinyl design that went on the wall and floor.

FINAL THOUGHTS

This project taught me a lot about creating a cohesive, integrated campaign and the process of producing a variety of assets for different mediums. Production proved challenging in terms of trying to make designs work for different sizes and double checking a large volume of files to make sure there were no errors before things were published. I learned how to distribute work to make production times more efficient and how to communicate with my team so that we're all on the same page creatively. 

With our help, we brought awareness to car2go's new line of Mercedes Benz with unique engagement ideas and a new and improved art direction for their ads.
